RIETE is set up in 2001 with 25 Spanish physicians participating in sharing the data of their patients in a single database.

We publish our first original article, at The New England Journal of Medicine.

RIETE around the world

The database's website is translated into English, aimed to expand RIETE to other countries.

Who dies of a pulmonary embolism?

In 2008 Circulation we publish an article where we identify patients with a higher risk to die of a pulmonary embolism.

Better mortality rates

The Journal American College Cardiology (JACC) publishes a study showing that over 12 years patients included in RIETE have improved their health.

TROMBO.info, a website for patients

We launch TROMBO.info, a website to inform patients that uses data from the RIETE registry.

2017

Scientific production

In December, we reached our article number 150.

100,000 patients

At the beggining of August the RIETE Registry achieves the 100,000 patients.
